Welcome to the Greater Lansing Affiliate
of Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Thank you!
The 2008 Komen Greater Lansing Race for the Cure® was a HUGE success! Because of the passion and commitment of individuals like you, 6,700 women, men and children came out to fight breast cancer, one step at a time.
Even more incredible than the total number of Race participants is the financial impact of your combined efforts. In honor, in support and in memory of those affected by breast cancer, you raised a record number of funds. With more than $475,000 in race entry fees, donations, and sponsorship dollars, we are making a difference right here in mid-Michigan, as well as in funding national breast cancer research. That is an increase of $200,000 more than last year! WOW!
Thank you to Dave Trumpie of Trumpie Photography and Playmakers for our Race-day photos. To view Trumpie Photography Race photos, click here. To view more Race photos and competitive Race results, click here to visit Playmakers.
Donations can still be mailed to Komen Greater Lansing, P.O. Box 4368, East Lansing, MI 48826-4368, or you can donate online. Donation incentive certificates, courtesy of Playmakers in Okemos, will be based on donations as of May 31, 2008.
Donations and late registrations continue to post to our Race web page. Check back over the next few weeks to watch our thermometer rise because of your efforts! THANK YOU!

Susan G. Komen for the Cure was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor the memory of her sister, Susan G. Komen, who died from breast cancer at the age of 36. This year, our 25th anniversary, we are shifting into another gear, recommitting to finally, once and for all, finish what we started. Susan G. Komen for the Cure: new name, new logo, same promise - to end breast cancer forever.
